Having been away from the world of driving for fun for far too long, I have taken the plunge and treated myself to a 1986 944 Turbo - let the fun begin!

A 1986 car will be a 220.

Should be a lovely piece of kit. Enjoy it!

I suspect that I have seen a great many more 944 Turbos, and I have seen far more without 'drivers' options than I have with.

Im guessing that the sports suspension is option M474?

A further point: sunroofs were only compulsory in the UK, so there is no 'deletion'. In other markets they were usually an option, and in many cases theyre better for it.

I don't think I've seen a UK Turbo S with a sunroof.

That's correct - options label shows that the original owner was only really interested in these driving options!

UK versions or imports residing in the UK?

I believe most US Turbo S cars were ordered with a sunroof and there's a few non standard colour/trims around too. 7 or 8 years ago I came very close to buying an 88 Turbo in red with black cloth trim that I'm fairly sure was an S.

M758 cars have nothing to do with this, but they will, in many but not all cases, be C17 spec cars and not C16, sold to British servicemen in Germany.

Very nice, congratulations! My 86 951 has a very similar spec and it's a lovely thing to pedal along, the diff works well on mine. Enjoy! smile
