Cayenne 2003 Sat Nav
Discussion
Hi, I was hoping you could help?!
The sat nav looks very dated and I was hoping I could just upgrade the software for a newer version with better maps? Is this possible? The reason I Ask is the wife keeps nagging that the sat nav screen mAps look old and her friends (brand new Toureg sat nav has a really great map)
So rather than having to buy a new sat nav for the car I was wondering if it's possible to upgrade the software?

1) Buy a newer car
2) Get a less fussy wife
I have a 53 plate Cayenne S for carting the dog around.

Buy a newer car? if only just spunked 120k so my cash flow is limited, so she had to do with a Cayenne Turbo..... Newer Wife? maybe...
simple question - will it need a new sat nav or is there software that I can buy to bring it too todays current maps.

To be honest all these car sat nav's are crap. Better off buying a Tom tom.
Also be careful when changing the head unit if the car has Bose as I seem to remember it being fibre optic and you can get some serious issues as well as the cost. You'll be looking at over a grand on an old car so I'd tell her to put up or buy a new cayenne :-)

Yep it has the Bose system. I read somewhere else that it's a bit of a pig to upgrade.
