Just finished watching the 1980s BBC nuclear drama "Edge of Darkness" last night. In amongst the boxy Mercedes, rattly taxis, Bedford vans, stupidly wallowy limos, Mini Metros, slot-mag wheeled Scimitars and cubist Fiats, was this car. I was just totally amazed how totally different it looked...15 years ahead of it's time perhaps? But somehow still looking very cool even today. Nicely proportioned, looking like it means business but not in an OTT way. But I guess I'm preaching to the converted on this part of the forum.

And yes, I did start looking at the classifieds...just in case...

Brilliant drama, Bob Peck is just superb.
S*d the 944. We needed to see more of Joanne Whalley.

Also saw a nice Reliant Scimitar convertible belonging to Jedburgh's girlfriend.

P.S. I wonder if the 944's going cheap what with being irradiated??

The 944 is a brilliant car and totally unloved for many years. Still a bargain if bought correctly.

Not these days frown I've either, sold, given them away or taken them down to the tip, along with the numerous boxes of Evo, 911Porsche World, Total 911, GT Purely Porsche, Motoring News, BMW Car, MotorSport, Autocar, Motor and a host of other motoring publications.
I moved house 5 times in seven years between 2002 and 2009, shifting them around became a PITA (as did finding room for them) I'm a reformed mag and vinyl addict now (down to three boxes of old mags, have pretty much stopped buying car mags now) and one box of vinyl ( thank goodness for iTunes .....)

Large computer screen or 7" single ? Mine's the 12" EP version biggrin Not a massive Clapton fan, but the theme music to EOD was just perfect.

Vinyl seems to be in demand still. Check out the prices on here http://www.discogs.com/ May not be appreciating faster than old Porsches though smile I'm just pricing up my vinyl at the moment(it's listed separately on the house insurance)

BTW Edge of darkness was great first time round - I hope I've got the re-run recorded

I had 27 boxes of Autocar magazine that I sold on Ebay. The guy turned up in an old Rover 75 and the suspension was on the floor!

You didn't happen to notice whether his left leg was thicker/better developed than his right leg per chance did you ?
