Cayenne Turbo LPG Conversion
Discussion
Im looking to have my 2004 Cayenne Turbo converted to LPG , anyone done this or got any advise regarding it , I spoke to an LPG garage earlier who said they can do it , he said they only use one large vaporizer that is the same as using 2 vaporizers however I was told you need 2 vaporizer's ?
A number of the better kits have their vaporisers available in two sizes. Generally they are either called N (normal) or S (Super). On my daily I have a Super vaporiser along with normal injectors. Whilst some peeps believe I should have gone with Super Injectors as well, I saw them as a waste on a car making 200BHP from a 3.0 V6. This setup has done me well for the 100k I have ran with it. It was better than the previous car (with a similar engine) running the larger injectors (low end drivability was compromised and it was a royal pig to tune.
Two vaporisers can be used but it makes for (IMO) a messier install in addition for the propensity of more going wrong.
Searching up on the conversions is a great idea. But bear this in mind; a cheaper install can cost you in the long term. That said also keep an eye our for cowboys in the trade as well.

That is the difference between the N (normal sized) and S (Super/larger) vapourisers.Gassing Station | Front Engined Porsches | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
