I am playing with the Ida of putting a deposit down on the new SE Hybrid Cayenne.

Does anyone have any thoughts on it? I think it will qualify for the £5k government grant and I think it qualifies for the enhanced capital allowances (is this still the same for the self employed or partnership)?

Well, it will qualify, however, it is £62k base price and as its over 75g then it will be 11% BiK this year and 13% next year. So at 40% tax payer rates that will be £225 a month and then about £268 thereafter if it does not go up any more. Shame they did not get the emissions down to 75 or less, it would be £100 a month smile

Not sure what it will lease at.

Its a shame because the panamera hybrid is 75g CO2.

What if you are in a partnership or self employed can you still use the ECA?

As far as I'm aware if not ltd but sole trader or partnership there are no benefit in kind charges to pay.
The car is simply an asset.

Thats right but for companies there is a Enhanced Capital Allowance (ECA) which lets you claim the whole cost of the car against tax in the first year. What I want to know is does the same apple to the self employed or partnership.
