Cayenne Crankshaft or Rear Main Seal RMS failure leaking?

They have been done by an OPC going by the history which is full OPC. Is going to get fixed this weekend so Ill update. This should help the CT market as they become new entrants to the barge market. Solving problems efficiently is what PH is all about.
I did fix all the nav, cd and changer issues by pressing 1,4 & 8 together which was an easy fix!
Quite taken by it so far and happy to fix it as it was so reasonably priced.

V pipe mod is a switch to aluminium pipes, the original plastic pipes become brittle and can develop cracks. If the pipes suffer a major failure it's not uncommon for the coolant to dump itself over the engine, the antifreeze then gets to work on the seals and starter motor.unclepezza said:

They should have replaced the original plastic pipes with upgraded Ally ones but OPC can be a law unto themselves ! It's not an especially skilled job to change them , well within the remit of a competent local garage . Worth considering as it's properly labour intensive .

shame as the previous owner paid £1000 to get this fault resolved in 2011 at an OPC. I cant tell if the pipes are metal or plastic at the moment. However, I dont have a coolant problem. Its engine oil.It's not an especially skilled job to change them , well within the remit of a competent local garage . Worth considering as it's properly labour intensive .

They will be metal. The plastic ones were superseded by metal ones - Porsche updated the design to metal to solve the problem it won't admit existed. Gassing Station | Front Engined Porsches | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
