I dont have speed warning, so you may be able to switch it off. The rumble sound when you go over the white line is a real pain. If you find a fix please share, thanks.

Yes I have found the speed warning very annoying, it is easily turned off when starting the car but you have to do it every time and I have not found a way to save it as a setting, I presume it’s a safety setting which can not be turned off as a default…

Update on my UK Hybrid. And not necessarily a positive one.

After strikes at the port. There’s a stop sale which requires a part to be fitted before they’re allowed to sell it to me.

The required part was due in on Friday. However, it’s now not coming in and could be upto 3-weeks.

Kindly, my dealer has allowed me to borrow a Taycan until it arrives as I’d sold my previous car. Whilst collecting the Taycan I was shown my Cayenne, which is making me even more impatient.

Still with a Taycan to run around in, I cannot complain.

Is that Montego Blue ? looks so much different if it is to press pictures.

Our Hybrid is apparently coming to dealership next week or two. Was suppose to be built in July or August but somehow got pushes back. I think dealer cocked up

New EU law (which we are following) has meant all new cars from July 2022 have a speed warning.

That isn’t an existing model being built, so for example the Taycan currently but if the facelift Cayenne has it presumably the facelift Taycan will and the 911 range will at the next facelift.

You can turn it off at the start of a journey, you can’t disable it to not turn back on again at the next start up.

Old news, it’s been in the press for literally years

Has anyone taken delivery of a new eHybrid yet? Ours is at the dealer now, but waiting on a new sensor and software?

My E-Hybrid is now in the UK due to arrive at my dealer any day next week. Apparently it does not have the stop sale for sensor and software update to hopefully I should have it within a couple of weeks.

We picked up our Coupe E-Hybrid last Thursday. All the updates had been applied ie software and main cable that links the Hybrid system to the ICE. We traded in our 4 year old E-Hybrid Coupe so I'm please to say that in the 100, or so, miles we've driven in the new one, it is better in every way. We had air suspension on the last one and have the upgraded air suspension on this one and the ride is more comfortable but still feels like a Porsche should. The fit and finish is just as good, if not better, and the Burmester is better than the Bose - I've not had enough time in the car to give some more insight into the sound differences.

One thing that none of the reviews have picked up on is that it now has a Tron like sound, like the Taycan, when in E-Power mode. Its not the same sound as the Taycan but it is similar. You can clearly hear it from the outside and inside. I do not have the Sports Exhaust option and there does not seem to be a way to turn it on/off. For now, I wouldn't want to turn it off though.

Full battery charge shows 47 miles on the dash (a big step up from the 22 miles the old car used to state). I think the e-range is more accurate too but I suspect that the real world range will be closer to 36/38 miles. Certainly double what our last car could do.

We also upgraded the headlights to the HD-Matrix version, with night vision. It's a very clever system and has already alerted us to a pedestrian trying to cross between 2 parked cars (was at night). The pedestrian was highlighted in yellow on the dash and an extra beam of light was shone directly at the pedestrian. Pretty clever stuff.

The wireless car charger is definitely cooled. You can feel the cooling air when you slide the compartment open. iPhone has not overheated whilst running CarPlay but it's still early days.

The lane assist (standard option) and speed warning cannot be permanently turned off. You have to turn it off each journey. The speed warning is not an intrusive sound - it is a low hum chime (x3). Hopefully someone will figure a way to permanently code it out though.

All in all, we're extremely happy.

I detest the lane change assist. Whoever thought that was a good idea to have as standard needs their brain examined. Mine regularly corrects my steering when I'm not changing lane. I always turn it off.

And for the speed warning, I've set the programmable steering wheel button to turn it off.

Thanks for the info.

Do you turn off the lane assist and speed warning on physical buttons? Or do you need to go into some kind of menu in the PCM?

Our current Defender has lane assist, but it’s a button on the steering wheel and if you turn it off, it stays off next time you start the car. So it’s been off since we picked it up. It’s a horrible thing.

You have to turn it off in the PCM. From memory from the homepage it's 2 clicks, then a scroll and then a click. Ironically I've had the lane change assist activate on me a couple of times as I'm all over the road as it's a faff to turn it off when you are driving! Bring back buttons.

So. Good news! There is a button on the underside of the cruise control stalk that turns off lane assist.

That’s great news!

Not to just find a way to turn off the speed warning permanently!

The speed warning and lane change assist cannot be permanently turned off as far as I’ve found out. I’ve set the programmable button on the steering wheel to turn off sound warning, and each journey I turn off lane assist using the cruise control stock. Pain in the bum.
