I'll soon be the owner of a 2014 Cayman 981S (my first Porsche!). It has the standard radio fitted and I was wondering what is the best upgrade. I want DAB, google maps on my iPhone...and not a lot else really. I don't use my phone while driving (not even hands-free).

It won't be possible to add DAB without possibly an aftermarket solution. The aerials are - I believe - built into the windscreen glass as the sat nav aerials are

For CarPlay then you need one of those Chinese chips which you connect the PCM board to. Also, congrats on the car!

Thank you driving

I believe this does the job

Installation appears easy. Is it as good as this video suggests?

Trust pilot gives an average review score of 1.6 over their whole range, based on 274 reviews, the vast majority of which (77%) were 1-star.
I think that says it all.

Speak to your local car audio specialist IMO - worth the extra cost of fitting for someone who knows what they're doing, what system to recommend/what's compatible, and won't cause damage to the car.

Porsches aren't rare so they should have experience of upgrading that kind of unit.

I used a guy not that far from me last year to upgrade a couple of mine, well worth the cost to me for a professional service
