Stuck vibration dampers in pistons

I fitted new front discs and pads to my 987 this afternoon. The weights / inserts from the dampers are stuck n three of the four big pistons, little pistons are fine.



Access to the pistons isn’t great so with the backing plates of the damper only being held in via the little piston on three of the four pads, I was wondering if I should just leave the stuck bits be for now and remove the backing plates.

Has anyone else left the dampers out of their brakes?

You will have to make up a little jacking plate to remove them, a longer screw will probably be needed to do this.
