Rang Porsche South London to book my 2023 Boxster GTS 4.0 for first service. Cost: £1,265.65

Inspection - Every 20K Miles or every 2 Years Inspection £927.96
Additional - Every 2 Years Replace Brake Fluid / Check Tyre Sealant £188.29
Additional - Checking Water Drains Front Check And Clean £140.40
Total (Inc. VAT) £1,256.65

Other comments on here suggested it would be around the £720 mark. Does anyone have a similar experience or does this look right?

Call several OPCs to see if any are more competitive. The last service we paid for on our Cayman was £500 cheaper at an OPC 20 miles further away from our local one.

Phone around other dealers for prices.

Rang round Porsche dealers in the North West for a 10 year intermediate service on a Cayman GTS.

Prices varied from £699 to £1300 for the same service.

Most were similar at around the £900 mark. Each dealer i rang, i asked for a breakdown of what the service involved.

This was to check they all intended to do the same work.

Porsche Preston at £699 great service, including a courtesy car [ which was an Audi, not a Porsche] grumpy

Also extended the warranty at the same time. Car is now under warranty and service free for the next 2 years thumbup

Thank you for the advice. I have made a few phone calls and already one is £210 cheaper. Clearly it pays to call around.

You'll probably get offered the 4 wheel alignment as well. Everytime mine goes in they say the alignment is out of spec and we can put it back for circa £250 ffs.

Porsche Newport charged me £972 for the exact same work in November 2024 0n my CGTS 4.0. Obviously they are Dick Lovett group so you would hope Swindon would quote you the same price.

Just booked mine in with Bournemouth for April and it's £710 for the 2 year service including brake fluid change but no wash. Wouldn't let them near my cars paintwork!!!
Porsche courtesy car included.

They certainly are.

Recently had my 718 GT4 4 year major service (rear bumper off, replacement aux belt and new plugs etc etc) done cost £1600 including brake fluid change and quality loaner.

The 2 year service was c£800.

Most OPCs will offer PGB discount off (even if you aren't a member)or 10% if you ask...plus a bit more off too if you
skip the 'wash and vac' nonsense.

One point make sure your OPC uses the correct oil there have been instances of the wrong oil being put in.

If you also tell them you don't want the top up oil and bag or the screen wash that'll save you another £70.

If you can, try and have your service done out of the London area. Captured market and all that.

Hold your breath for the 4 years GTS 4.0 service bill……

I always check all the OPCs in driveable distance and for once OPC Reading were the cheapest (usually they’re the most expensive). Booked for next month.

Preston

Hull and Leeds were close on the price too.

Benefit of Preston is they have their own Mot centre so you know your car won't leave the OPC and be ragged round the ring road a couple of times and dumped at the under the arches shack MOT garage/Kwikfit and arrive back at the OPC smoking and with 200 miles added.

I just picked my BGTS 4.0 up this evening from Porsche West London from its 4 year major service.

It was £2.2k for that which was pretty eye opening !

They also made me wait 1h20mins when I came to pick it up as they couldn’t find it in their storage area. Was NOT impressed.

Some poor couple on the table next to me were in there having had a brake failure on their car. The service technician said they had SIXTY cars waiting to be seen for warranty and recall work.

Is this the going rate for the 4 year second service? Seems a lot.

Expensive these cars for sure. What you guys should do is check your average speed on the computer so that you can tell what it’s costing you for the semblance of owning a fast car today. Living in London mine is 17 mph yet my car will do sub 5 second 0-60 and 180 mph too speed. Go figure.

£2k is madness, but you have no choice especially if you want a warranty.

Servicing costs use to be pretty reasonable now costs have just gone mental for basically just a filters and oil change!
Is a brake fluid change any different to a bmw which costs less than £100.

I find the "environment charge" rather cheeky. I presume it's a legal requirement or perhaps a tax the OPC pays to dispose of oil. In my view they shouldn't show that as an itemised cost; it should just be within the service price.
