towing a cayman
Discussion
Hi All,
I am in the process of purchasing a house in Nice and planning to take my Cayman (LHD) down there and leave it for when we fly in as the property has a garage. The issue I have is whether I trailer it down (my other half wont drive it!) or can I "tow it" with one of those frames attached to the car and towed by my Defender? Not sure how much it would be with a third party taking it down on a truck? The trailer would be a pain having to drive back with it to the UK!
Thanks

Towing with an A-Frame is a grey area (or illegal depending on who you ask)
Weight of a Cayman would be pretty high for an A-Frame I would have thought

Drive it down and fly back.. nice weekend away!
If you want to share the driving you could take a mate with you. Autoroute to Grenoble, then the Route Napoleon down to Nice.
That is a much, much more pleasurable way to spend time than towing a car down there and driving all the way back with a trailer (a trailer which the French might deem illegal anyway).
