It seems that is common for the paint to be chipped away by debris kicked up by the front wheels, leaving the metal exposed.

The whole rim of the arches had surface rust. Probably should had some film on it from new.

Had them tidied up with a front end paint job. If I’d have kept the car I would have had the front end PPF’d. Although the paint was probably cheaper.

Common with 997 etc too. I keep an eye on mine and paint and cover with Dynax as required. It's generally only superficial - as long as you stay on top it.
