718 - gear change assistant
Discussion
Does anyone use/rely upon this?
(Not the nannying up shift arrow for planet-saving)
I have shift lights in the steering wheel of my M3 and they are so useful, allowing full concentration on the road, and no need to check the rev counter when pushing on.
The gear change assistant in my Spyder seems good in principle but in reality it is not bright enough (top down) to be sufficiently eye-catching.
Unless I am missing a brightness/intensity control somewhere?
And….tbh…I hardly ever get close enough to maximum revs to trigger them, I suppose…bloody gearing..

I am guessing - from the lack of replies - that nobody uses this function...!
I think it must be one of the many that I deselected from the display in any of my 718 Caymans so far. Nice big rev counter right in the middle means I have never even thought to experiment with the multi-function display gear change assistant.Liam
