I was tinkering under the car and noticed the side of the PDK gearbox had been blasted with oil at some point. Probably recently, too, as I don't recall it being there when I looked under the car last winter.
It doesn't look wet to my eyes, and I can't see where it's coming from. Perhaps a breather or vent on the top of the gearbox?
The car is under an extended warranty, so I'd like to think my OPC will help, but keen to know if people have experienced similar?

Been there and gone through the panic! It looks like you have had a misting of PDK oil from somewhere and dirt from driving has been picked up and it makes it look a lot worse than it actually is. My guess would be one of pipes in the oil cooler area. You have a warranty so no big issue even if it is something Porsche deem unrepairable.
My 981 had a minor PDK oil leak, picked up at service.
They cleaned off the oil and asked me to come back after 500 Miles, still leaking.
Said it would be sorted under extended warranty, they replaced the gearbox - non serviceable apparently.
Seems crazy to me.. Can't believe a little bit of oil would be an big issue, or they couldn't replace the seal!

My 981 pdk had a slight leak too.
Was out of warranty though.
Porsche indy replaced the sump pan. He said it comes as one with filter and gasket. Can't buy the latter seperately, apparently. About £450 all in, fresh oil too which isn't due for something like 100k/10 yrs I think.
That was about 18 months ago. Fine ever since.

When my old Cayman was having a 3.8L engine installed at Ehresmann, he noticed PDK oil pan with oil covering on 3.4L engine before it was removed as pictured. I sent the image back to my Centre. On return I had the car inspected and the Service Manager noticed some drips on the workshop floor so the pan was replaced with the upgraded version under warranty due to oil being more than misting.
