Hi All

I’ve noticed a small pool of water under my Boxster, it’s coming out just behind the front wheels. It’s got no smell so I’m assuming it’s just water. I’ve just had all the pipework at the front of the car replaced so I’m just gaining confidence in that repair. Does anyone have any ideas what it might be and whether it needs attention. Thanks.

It will be the drain from the A/C, nothing to worry about.

Ventilation was on but in its eco mode. The AC condenser was replaced as part of the recent repairs and it’s blowing nice and cold when in use.

I thought it might be but having just spent £2800 on repairs I’m still building up my confidence in the car.

Even in eco mode it will still leave some water behind. If you want to allow more efficent running of the system then put it into the setting where it just recirculates the air in the cabin, this actually make the air coming from the vents cooler as it's not drawing warm air from outside

EDIT to add that the Porsche coolant is a pinky colour, so you shouldn't have anything to worry about. If it's recently had pipework replaced then keep an eye on the coolant levels for the first few hundred miles since air locks are possible

Our 987 used to leave massive pools of water at this time of year. It’s just the air con.

As long as it’s clear and just plain old water.

I had this on my 987 Boxster, would leave a small pool of water just behind o/s front wheel - turned out to be a split a/c pipe.
