There's a late brake show video on YouTube - where Johnny Smith is having issues with his cheap Boxster - he used these guys

He's recommended them on the podcast too - so might be worth a call (depending on where in the country you are)

Hi All,
Thanks for all the response but still no joy. Its the type of key that is inserted into the dashboard so my question is if I get a locksmith to open the car via the lock under the door handle what will this achieve besides the obvious of getting in the car? Will the alarms actuate? Will it free the brakes and the steering? Porsche OEM garage wont come out as they say they are not equipped and neither will Porsche assist ! So I am in a bit of a mess! I am based in Oxfordshire so the Birmingham crowd mentioned in previous email wont come out!
Any help gratefully received !!
Many thanks
A right idiot !!

Hi
I used this chap from Scotland he travels the UK with his van replacing Porsche keys
07762 725041 i cant remember his name, great service he provides a new key or 2 and removes an ecu from your car and hooks it up to the kit in his van and 40 minutes later a fully working key fob however may be a problem with a key blade if you don’t have one to copy.

I’ve watched a few salvage rebuilds videos where they have got an auction car with no keys and the locksmith they use has a device which inserts into the lock which has tumblers to turn which gives a code to use to cut a new key.
One video he demonstrates it taking him around a couple of minutes to make the new key, then a bit longer to plug in a laptop and reprogram and start the car, but its quite impressive to see the skills locksmiths have.
