6 Point Harness Install - Mounting Points
Discussion
If it's anything like the 981 GT4 harness, the transmission tunnel harness bolt goes in at a weird angle. Owner before me had clearly crossed the threads, but with seat all the way forwards and a bit of patience, managed to get it seated on the correct threads. It was a tense moment!

I eventually gave up and took it in to my local Porsche dealership who sorted it for £730
Exsqueeze me?? I'm suitably intrigued as to what they did for £730...
And then you have to adjust the length of the crotch straps ....
I fitted new harnesses to my 2018 GT3RS ... obtaining a pair of new 992 harnesses (one without the fixings) and the extinguisher from an exported Dakar.
Schroth say that the 991 and 992 harnesses are interchangeable other than there being a spacer for the crotch strap to be used only on the 992. I had one set of fittings from the out of date and unfitted 991 harnesses and one set from the 992 harnesses. The OPC decided that the set without the spacer was incomplete and kindly left me to finish fitting this to the passenger side.
Without wishing to remove the seat, I pulled out the fire extinguisher and slid the seat as far forwards as possible. It is doable but it is very very tight ... and I'm a small person ! At one stage I ended up hanging over the back of the seats with my head in the rear footwell reminding myself that adjusting the webbing strap lengths was only hard "if I thought it was !".
No fun .... but another story to tell ...
