Hi everyone I'm experiencing very restricted flow on one of my windscreen washer jets. The handbook doesn't help, so can anyone tell me how to deal with this? The usual needle approach doesn't work.

Is the hose knicked at the hinge area under the bonnet at the nearside around the A pillar? I thought there was a known issue of the hose wearing / breaking in this area.on the N

Thanks for the tip but the hose is not kinked. Any other suggestions?

Have you popped off the washer jet from the bonnet and disconnected the hose? Does it flow well to the nozzle?
Some cars (bmw) are prone to sludge / gelling of washer fluids in the washer bottle if different brands are mixed, requiring the washer bottle and pump to be removed and washed out?
If you have good flow at the pipe at the jet, but the jet is blocked, connect an airline and blow both ways?
If it is truly blocked, replacement VAG washers are Cheap as direct fit replacement on eBay.
I swapped my nozzles for. heated VAG fan spray nozzles

Might be worth double checking the washer hose that runs into the bonnet.

Mine recently split where the hose looks like a bendy straw. The washers still worked but the flow had noticeably less pressure. Fixed under warranty, but online there's a few guides on how to use insulating tape to fix, easily googled (assuming it is the problem!)

Thanks guys - I've learned something here. The jet cleared out OK. Keep that roof down...
