Happy New Year All,
My Cayman GTS has the “Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) with ride height lowered by 10 mm” option, so as I understand it, the ride height is 10mm higher than a standard GTS. Does anyone know if this option can be simply/cheaply removed, to get the ride height lowered to the standard -20mm?
Thanks

If you fit standard GTS suspension then surely that will increase the ride height by 10mm?

I found it a bit confusing, but I think the GTS normally rides 20mm lower than the base model, but there is a GTS option (selected on my car) to ride only 10mm lower than the base model. So deleting that option would drop the ride height to the full base model - 20mm. Maybe.

Yes your car rides 10mm higher than the standard GTS set up which is 20mm lower than a standard car without PASM.

It's probably different springs unless they are height adjustable (which I doubt)

Hi. HNY.
PASM is -10mm over the Cayman with stock suspension. On the GTS, PASM was a standard option

X73 (sports suspension) is -20mm over the base Cayman, -10mm over the Cayman with PASM

Probably worth speaking to a specialist to ask how much, or whether it can be done.

X73 is quite sought-after in part due to its rarity. But it runs a stiffer, lower suspension so likely an acquired taste, and more track focused.

Thanks for the info - I was naively hoping there might be a spacer that could be removed to reduce the ride height. I wouldn’t want to go to the trouble of replacing springs just to delete this option.

Standard suspension on the GTS 4.0 is SPASM (sport PASM) -20mm from the base 2.0 model ride height. PASM is -10 from the 20 so -10mm from the base 2.0 model ride height.

It's not only the springs and shocks that are different, the anti roll bars are stiffer as well.

Scrounger is right, springs, shocks and anti roll bars are all different, so the answer is No, the -10mm option cannot be simply/cheaply removed I'm sorry to say.

Thanks for the info, all. I’ll put the idea of deleting that option to bed now
