981 Cayman - leaves in vent next to driver door: solution?
Discussion
First autumn/winter with this car & a couple occasions I've heard buzzing caused by a dry leaf caught in the vent next to the drivers door.
Are there any owner methods for extracting these leaves? It appears that even removing the plastic cover doesn't free up much space to reach, at the risk of breaking the plastic clips too. I'm not too interested in the aftermarket grilles as the car is under warranty
TIA

It's odd that the 718 was recalled for grills to be fitted in the intakes yet the 981 doesn't get them? There won't be just leaves in there, you'll probably find lots of small stones and general road detritus. The only sure way to clean them out is to pop off the whole side sill which is actually a 10 minute job and can be done without removing the wheels or a lift. Boxster owners should be well versed in order to clean out the drain plugs.
