Next Cayman… EV?

Does anyone have any info pricing or otherwise on the new Cayman EV? I visited my local Porsche Centre earlier this week but came away non the wiser. Sales man said that they have no real information other than what is available online and that they get their info in the same way that Joe Public does. Surely someone further up the food chain should have some info by now.
He did say that he expects it to come in at around £20k above the price of the current Cayman as the Macan is at a similar price point. He did of course offer to sell me a Macan which I declined. This will be my first new Porsche and I am just not comfortable putting money down on a car that I have no real information on yet.

Totally, so hard for car manufacturers who have to plan years in advance. I think it will come, it’s too late in the product dev. Lifecycle not to…But 80% of cars sold have to be electric in 6 years time, it’s totally nuts and dreamland. So the basic one would be 70 k
Frankly I’ve given up
I’ve got a 2021 cayman which is great ( I know what people say about the F4 ) but it’s a great car
Brand new it was 46k with a discount
But th tee is a line eg 70k for a 5 series
Maybe 80k for a cayman by the time you have a nice colour decent seats etc it’s just not value
I’ve just extended my warranty for 3 years which seems far better value than a new one

If they manage to sort out the handling then why not? I have a Cayman GTS and prefer the handling over a regular 911. The only thing that lets the 718 down is the rather dated interior, it hasn’t really changed much since the 981. If the new Cayman EV has the more modern interior like the 992 then I’m pretty sure that I will put my money down.
Unfortunately the salesman/order taker had no information whatsoever.
Having looked a 718s and settled (for now) on a 981 to replace my 987.2, I'm really interested to see how this develops.
I'm not averse to an electric Cayman/Boxster; if it combined an electric motor with a manual gearbox and 3 pedals to provide similar driver interaction to the ICE cars, I'm up for it. It probably won't though, I'm sure it'll be like a smaller, lighter Taycan.

You aren’t going to get an electric car with a manual box just yet imo. A smaller lighter Taycan would be almost ideal if they can sort out the handling.Gentian blue, decent alcantara interior and the hottest going, longest battery version and I’m in.

Complete madness .I always thought two of the the main joys of owning a sports car was how it feels to drive and how it sounds.
Personally I couldn’t care less if it can get to 60mph in 2 seconds or less and apparently saves the planet.
Ev will end up killing the sports car market.
The 718 EV so so far behind that I doubt that it'll show it's face this year. I spoke to my SA last week and he said they've no idea when it will be released but they do know that the 982 platform will still be available until the end of '24 however there most probably won't be a mid life facelift.
The only thing I can see them doing is adding cruise and/or speed limit display as standard given the new speed limiting legislation in the UK from July '24. Obviously the price will increase..... it is Porsche afterall.

Considering the Taycan has set the standard for a well sorted engaging BEV I don’t see why Porsche would fail to do the same with the 718 EV?
Don’t get me wrong, I love my 718 GTS 4.0 but considering the magic Porsche have done with the Macan and Cayenne I doubt they’ll drop the ball on the next gen 718.
I’d be interested in what they do with a hybrid 911.
