Decided it was time to get off the fence and bought a GT4 from West London, nice drive up the road to Scotland on one tank! Looking forward to getting some proper driving done in the spring.

Nice, I think the GT4 is the only porker I would consider owning.

Well I had a 992 GTS and the GT4 feels way more stable, the mid engine making the car feel more secure. Was also in the bucket seats all day which proved to not be an issue, very comfy as it turned out.Happy days!

7:34 in the buckets is impressive, how did they compare to the seats in the GTS?

Had the 18ways in the GTS, which were great, but felt the GT4 needs the buckets as fitted more with the ethos of the car, anyhow for me they are great.

Congratulations. Looks great.

I did the same journey exactly this time last year. I found it fairly comfortable on the trip back. I think we encountered every variation of weather on the way back up...... I think in Scotland we are spoiled sometimes, we are not used to sooo much traffic (bloody m25)

Was a 40th birthday present to myself. Literally the next day we found out my wife was pregnant smilesmilesmile. Still got the wife, still got the car, still got the baby.

Enjoy

I was saying to a guy this morning how happy I was with my banger, how liberating it is etc etc.

But I envy you that lovely machine.

Congrats on the new toy, car twin!! Now to just get it up the North Coast! smile

I’ve always been happy doing long distances in the buckets. Ullapool to Cheshire is a similar distance, be it a MUCH nicer drive for the most of it. And always find it easy in a oner.
