Alternatives to Classicline?
Discussion
Short answer, no.
I left them for a year as I had no TD planned, went back to them this year for a price I was happy with.
Most insurers offer heavy discounts for 'new' customers, so not sure if their systems treated my quote as new custom having being absent for a year. I couldn't find comparable cover for anywhere near what they'd quoted (981 GT4).

I like Classicline for the trackday cover but the latest renewal is circa £1200 for a 718 GT4.
Clean licence, mature driver, 5k miles, garaged overnight etc.
Anyone come across a cheaper option that includes TD cover?
Thx in advance,
Kevin
That's about right, K. Bit of fluctuation during the year I guess - but about right - I renewed with them in July.Clean licence, mature driver, 5k miles, garaged overnight etc.

The other alternative is to self-insure on track ? At least the GT4 is a "relatively" inexpensive car to repair ...
Part of the reason for the cost of insurance now is the time taken to repair due to parts shortages and the very high cost of loan cars ... etc.
If the excess is either 10% or 15% .... you can repair quite a lot for that before accumulating the premium savings ... and I also like the idea of being able to choose who does what and when.
