That looks unbelievably bad. I’m assuming that as it’s Parr (which I understand to be a decent outfit) that it’s all functional but it just looks awful.

I guess it's function over form. I don't think it's awful but it certainly isn't good. The X51 3.8 engine is a beast. I think 430 bhp in the 991. So this is more than the standard gt4 right?

I'm curious about the bonnet vents. Surely they do nothing if it has a standard froot.

you could replace with this:

https://rennlist.com/forums/performance-modificati...

US guys have created a 4RS intake for the 3.8/4.0 cars with standard and 718 clubsport intake manifolds.

Pretty cool.

Nice that, no doubt eye-wateringly expensive too.

The Parr car is "OK", but I prefer this build :

Will this one be eye watering or more manageable?

New, exchange X51 3.8 complete engine bored and stroked to 4.2 litres, topped off with ported heads and garnished with a full Cargraphic exhaust and manifolds, allied to a GT4 Clubsport intake.

None of that screams manageable or indeed anything less than eye-watering smile

A 981 with the 991.1 GTS engine is a tremendous proposition. But fk me I can't imagine how embarrassed I'd feel driving a car with that absolutely dreadful wing on it.

On most road cars these do nothing until approaching triple digits. Well that was a few years ago. These massive jobbies we have today may do something at sane speeds.

Remember the big wing on the Countache - or are you too young?

That actually slowed the car down I think or maybe even generated lift. I cant remember exactly. But it is pure pantomime.

Yeah, the big wing on the Countach looked right, as it does on a lot of cars. I think it's just the svelte rear end of the Cayman doesn't look right with a massive wing. Even the 911 with its thicker arse handles it better I think.

As you say, I guess it's function over form. No offence intended, I bet it's a hoot to drive.

I wonder what price they are asking for? With genuine 981 GT4s starting at around £60k surely they can't be asking for this or more?

Should be called the GT4 Dyson

That is all kinds of horrible , probably quite effective on track but that rear wing is ridiculous

What is the bit that takes up the boot space?

Very curious as to how much this costs...

In the pic at the top I posted?

That's the air intake. Comes in via the rear window air scoops, down the pipes to the filters and then into the engine.

I do like some details, like say the hood and so on, also the side vents, but not the tubing that way, then better the tubing in the cover, or that from that other link.

btw, in de US you have those who build the 3.8 or 4.0 to 4.5 liter and get 560 NA hp out of them... all in I believe 26k US and a like new engine? anyhow, not crazy expensive if you hear what a engine out/in and say rebuild cost here in Europa, mostly more and then still the same engine :-)
