Question for those doing trackdays, what wheels are you running for track?

I'd like to get a dedicated set of wheels for my 718 Cayman GTS (-20 PASM), with so many options to choose from and not know was offset I need thought I'd ask the community for first hand experience.

Thanks

Apex excellent. Look at their fitment guides. The VS5RS wheels weighed what the website said.

Obv BBS FI-R from Manthey would be nice too…

Thanks for the reply guys,

Apex look great, although being a US based company means not a comparatively good deal with shipping and the current poor exchange rate. The SM-10 flow wheel would be c£2,500 plus import fees which puts them into competition with other known brands such as OZ or even genuine Porsche wheels.

Currently eyeing up the Oz Leggera HLT in the following sizes:

Porsche fitment is: PCD 5X130
Front: 8.5x19 ET53
Rear: 10x19 ET40

I'll take a look at that link too see what else is out there.

Just to close this off for anyone else looking,

I went for the Oz Leggera in the end at the following sizes:

Porsche fitment is: PCD 5X130
Front: 8.5x19 ET53
Rear: 10x19 ET40

Have also ordered some Nankang AR-1's

Front: 245/35/19
Rear: 275/35/19

I have a feeling that after this set up I'll probably want to square the car up and go for 255 front and 275 rear, but I'll see how I go first.

Interested to hear how you get on with the AR-1s. Was there much difference in prices vs say Cup 2s?

From what I have seen - AR-1 are substantially cheaper than Cup2s. I am weighing up which on to go for!

Just off topic, who did you go to for track insurance if you even bothered?, many don't.

The AR-1's were £1100 for the complete set.
