Hi everyone,

I have a set of coloured central wheel crests that I want to swap over for a non-coloured set .

Please can you tell me how to remove and refit these central wheel crests .

Do I need a special tool to pull the current crests out , and will the substitute crests just press firmly and securely into place ?
The owners manual doesn’t appear to have any info on this matter .

Thank you

There's a small hole in the crest. Use a correspondingly small allen key to hook the centre cap out. The new ones just push back in. Remember to align the point of the crest with the tyre valve, otherwise the OCD anals will want blood for breakfast.

I made a small tool out of a wire coat hanger - simply bend to match the two holes.

There is usually a tool in the car for this, a small hook with a circular holding thing.

Just checked and the Porsche doesn’t have the tool, but both our Audi TT and BMW have one.

Probably an option costing £650.

Check your wife’s wardrobe - she’s sure to have an allen key !!!
