I noticed my exhaust was sitting low and a quick look confirmed the exhaust hanger has failed. Just looking for advice on other parts required to replace beyond the hanger itself and the exhaust pipe clamps which are looking rough. And just entirely out of interest is it a common problem?

Photo taken from the back bumper looking in towards the gearbox

Thanks,
Dunc.

Looks like it's about £600 to replace this part and it's a different P/N for gen 2 cars, and also different between pdk and manual, not surprisingly.

Slightly better photo of the issue, you can see it's the area with the smallest cross section (unsurprisingly) that snapped.

When you include other exhaust components to do the fix you're in the same ball park as coolant pipe fixing costs.

Cheers,
Dunc.

If you need one I have one laying around. It may be 987.2 however.

Hi Jay,

I would have bitten your hand off a week ago laugh It's a 987.2 manual but I've taken the hit and ordered from Porsche now. Thanks for the offer smile

Here's what it looked like once I removed it:

I might fancy that, if it's available?
