2014 981 GTS Exhaust

I have a really irritating baffle rattle in the offside rear silencer. The car has PSE as standard so have been looking at maybe renewing with an after market Cat back valved system. Has anyone done this and had a good outcome ?

They sound fantastic stock, so I'd just replace the offending part if I were in your shoes.

Problem is that Porsche won’t sell you just one side. You have to buy full replacement exhaust.

So you could get it repaired which means cutting open the faulty side, replacing baffle and the re-closing with welding…. You might want to get the other side scoped at same time.

Or you buy aftermarket replacement, lots of options available.

Might be worth getting quotes for all 3 paths, and then deciding.
OEM 981 PSE was about £3k last time i looked and that will at least some with a parts warranty.

Do aftermarket systems work with the PSE switch or are they what they are and the PSE switch just becomes an ornament...?

Some seem to be valveless, presume the valved ones have a different more reliable mechanism than the original PSE.

I want one that sounds as good as PSE but hard to tell which is best from you tube clips
