Just been to look at a GT4 at Saxon 4x4, great looking car the spec isn’t prefect, bit poverty but none the less still a cracking car.

Does anyone recognise the reg EJ70AWF? its only done 1000 miles since 2020, in general the car is in excellent condition but a couple areas of concern: bubbling under PPF on the rear arch is this a common problem? I can’t help but think the tyres have done more than a 1000 miles, does anyone know what the standard depth of Cup 2’s is?

I doesn’t have the 18 way adjustable seats nor CarPlay both are things I want but could live without if I had to. I don’t think the bucket seats are for me although they would be my preferred choice, 38” waste is saying don’t bother!

Link to car https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202210140...

If anyone knows anymore about it or the previous owner that would be great.

Just as an FYI CarPlay is standard. You just need to plug the phone into the USB port in the armrest.

That's been available for ages, it was for sale in February when I bought mine. Despite living 20 miles away from Saxon cars, I bought mine from someone much further afield - would recommend Cameron Sportscars near Bath.

Something doesn’t feel right about it, I don’t believe it’s been serviced either. I will have a look thank you.

Last time I was in there (quite a few months ago), I think that one was in the downstairs showroom and they had another one somewhere as well, possibly upstairs.

Can’t really be much help other than that but if it doesn’t ‘feel’ right, don’t talk yourself into it.

I enquired about it a month ago but ended up buying another car. It was reduced to the current price a few weeks ago however there were similar spec cars from Porsche specialists when I looked for about 1k more.

They chased me up to view the car on several occasions however the trade in they offered was at least 3k lower then everyone else so it was actually a bit more then a couple of OPC cars that had much stronger trade in bids on balance.

I'm guessing its bidding bottom book for trade in's is the problem here.

Pealing PPF leaves me thinking something has happened in that area. There is a handful of small scratches around the drivers door, I have asked them to confirm warranty and service history. Although it’s only done 1000 miles it should have been serviced by now I believe 24 months or 12000 miles? Other thing is I don’t think it has a Porsche warranty / Extended.

I really like the Red, not everyone’s cup of tea but it really suits the GT4 imo. There’s a yellow one at OPC Colchester but I’m not 100% sure I could live with that colour + it has buckets.

Nice Red one in Scotland but I would hate to travel 400/500 miles to find out it isn’t prefect. I have serious OCD, soon as I spot a small imperfection I’m not interested or suspect the worst.

You do NOT have serious OCD, you are a bit fussy about a couple of things.

Oh I really do have an idea of what serious OCD is and looks like. Being a bit fussy about a couple of scratches is nothing at all to do with OCD. I’ll leave it at that, but think about what real OCD is.

Is it at Perth? If so I’m sure we can sort out getting someone to go and look at it. We have a very active GT4 owners group on WA with several very good guys from Scotland. One is actually a detailer and PPF guy that has done several of the groups cars. Let us know if you need any help if it’s the right spec and you want someone to go and take a look at it for you.

You have absolutely no clue about my personal life so shut the f up. When you are on tablets to help control your brain to get through normal daily life for some come talk to me. Absolutely weapon thinking you know someone. I’ll leave it at that or just PM me if you really want to know what it’s really like or want to get more personal.

Yes in Perth, Thanks Jack, that could be very very helpful. I will give the dealer a call tomorrow and get the low down on the car, if it sounds right do you mind if I drop you a message?

I’m done. You specifically said you has serious OCD and then mentioned the scratches as the direct link. The two are not connected in any way. You would know that too.

Good night.

Don't reckon that Saxton car has £6k worth of options.

Probably ended up there outside the OPC network as skipped its 2 year service due November 2022 so no or questionable warranty. Would also want to know how many owners and who especially as tyres down for the mileage.

Guards a great colour good choice have owned a Guards 981 GT4 and now a Guards 718 GT4 from new.

One owner car apparently.

Does the GT4 have a running in service?

No just 2 yrs/mileage.

Just a thought is that Saxton car ex PEC I wonder. Worth a check.
