What's the chance of getting a classic policy on a 2009 Boxster 2.9 PDK?
Busy having a look at some ads, just needing to get an idea of running costs. Will be 2nd car, garaged and most likely less than 3000 miles a yaer

No problem with Classicline, they have a special Porsche scheme.

I pay just over £200/yr with 5k miles, commuting to work if I want and guaranteed value

We put my wife’s Boxster on bog standard policy with Aviva - parked on the drive, business use 5000 miles a year, she had no no claims at the time, late 40s £200 with me on as a named driver.

Meant she built up some no claims.

Having rung round it made the most sense.

But I do like Classic line have my other cars with them.

The issue you have is that most classic polices the car has to be 20 years old or a certain tyrpe of car ltd numbers etc not a run of the mill boxster. no offence
as mentioned above a standard premiums for your car should be quite light?

There's no hard rule on age, Footman James will do many cars at 15 years old. You can get an online quote to. As you say, even younger for rare models.

When I used the meerkat for an insurance quote on a 2001 Porsche, and also a 1999 TVR, the 5 cheapest were all classic policies that don't need, or award NCD, so you can keep it for another car. smile
