Just bought a 2020 718 Boxster (my 3rd Boxster and 4th Porsche, so they are not new to me)) and maybe I should have checked BUT it doesnt have Pirelli PZero N rated tyres on it.

First question - what tyres do Porsche 'recommend' (is it still Pirelli PZero N rated)?
Second question - if it doesnt have these, is the warranty effectively invalidated (see below)?
Third question - is this likely to stop Porsche accepting Extended Warranty in 6 months time?

The Porsche warranty says:

Porsche has no liability under the Porsche Warranty and is neither obliged to accept any warranty claims nor provide any warranty service, if the defect is caused by one of the following events:

parts have been fitted or installed in the vehicle whose use has not been approved by the Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG, or the vehicle has been modified in a way not approved by the Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG (e.g. tuning), unless the warrantee can prove that the non-approved parts are of equivalent quality to the original parts and that neither their use nor the other nonapproved modification to the vehicle is the cause of the defect that has arisen;

An OPC should be able to tell you the N rated tyres for your car NB just because it’s N rated in the right size doesn’t mean it’s approved for every Porsche.
Doubtful you’ll have any issues with a warranty claim during the remainder of your policy - they’d have to demonstrate a direct link to the tyres being the cause which seems unlikely for the vast majority of cases.
Not sure what the policy is now for renewals; during Covid if the car was maintained by an OPC they were renewing over the phone but that may have changed now, in which case they’ll be all over the non approved tyres.

If it’s under warranty and you renew prior to the end you’ll be ok, if it expires they’ll make you fit a new set of approved tyres before they’ll warranty it.
