Identifying key number (1 or 2) in 981

Hey chaps -
How can I identify which key number I am using to unlock the car in a 981?

And am I right in thinking Key 1 is the Master, while Key 2 is the slave? Thus it is better to use Key 2 if I can.

There is no "master" key both keys are identical.
If you have 18 ways then one maybe set up for the main driver and another for a 2nd driver, driver but if not use whichever one is handy.

Thanks, I don't have 18 ways/memory pack.

Only my old 987.2 when unlocking the car/opening the door there was a note on the cluster regarding which key was being used. No bother if they are both the same then.
