Adjusting windscreen washer jets on a 718 Boxster?

Had the bonnet open the other day and noticed that the driver's side washer spray was not clicked into place properly. Clicked it in and then discovered that the washer jet now sprays just above the windscreen wiper rather then the middle of the screen as it did previously.

Quick google search implies that you cannot adjust the spray(?), which suggests that maybe the jet was not clicked into place under the bonnet on purpose to aim the jet higher up the screen.

All sounds a bit bodge job, anybody else experienced this or come up with a solution?

You can't adjust the 981 / 718 sprays, but you can replace them with fan spray VAG ones that are adjustable. (Around £35 for the pair on Ebay.)

I think the 981 washers are heated, but the 718 washers are not heated.

Seems the fix is to have the drivers side spray jet clicked half out (as it originally was in my car), this directs the spray onto the centre of the screen... not very elegant but at least it works...
