PCM Bluetooth & Spotify Playlists
Discussion
Hi guys, Apple CarPlay works flawlessly on my GT4 but there are times where I can't be asked connecting my phone. I've seen wireless adapters but from all the reviews I've read, they're not 100% reliable so I'd rather not bother with them.
Music streams great via bluetooth too but is there a way to access Spotify playlists? I can't remember from the top of my head but I think when streaming music, there's a button that says "Library" and within that I can see "Spotify" but when I click on it, nothing happens. The assumption here is that it would let me see my Spotify playlists/library. Is this not the case?

While I am not too familiar with the specifics of the 718 PCM, to answer your main question, BT does not transmit the tracklist to the PCM, leaving connecting the cable & using CarPlay as the only option. SV_WDC said:

Cheers mate. Strange that PCM has Browse & Spotify displaying when it doesn’t do anything.CarPlay it is.
It's the same on the 981 - there's a tracklist button (or a word like that) but doesn't actually show anything.
The PCM buttons do work to advance the track though so you have some control. And could maybe use Siri/ Apple Shortcuts to change tracks/playlists with a voice command - but your phone becomes the main interface and is probably a bit of a faff.
