Here we go again ! My last 718 GTS required two replacement PADM units in under 10,000 miles. Now, driving my 718 Spyder today - just hit 5000 miles and wham PADM failure. I know I am not alone there have been numerous reports of these failures .Are these things made of chocolate ? This really isn’t good enough is it? Surely the expert engineers at Porsche could resolve the obvious quality problem.

My 991.2 GT3 is booked in for replacement PADM under warranty in a couple of weeks. They were on back order a month ago but I’m told they are now available again.,

I had both mine fail at 1.200 miles (!!), don’t aim the quality gripes at the Germans, the units are actually made in the UK. Don’t be too concerned about rushing to the OPC to get them fixed, it ain’t critical I replaced mine 6 months after they failed, the blue 718 GT4 that gets a daily spanking at the PEC also showed the fault when I drove it. But ultimately you’re 100% correct the PADM issue has gone on for too long, Porsche should be replacing them with an improved unit.
