Folks, This is a Q that has been raised on Porsche Club GB but wanted to see the consensus to a wider population regarding changing PDLS headlights over for European driving.

Can I ask those that have PDLS, do you have the option in the MFD to swap over for European Continental driving? This should be in the MFD under Settings- Lights & Display- Exterior Lights. There may be an option for L/R. It does say in the manual that the option should be there but a couple on PCGB with PDLS don't have it yet one with PDLS+ does. I do remember I had it on my 2020 Base with PDLS.

I have a 2022 GTS with PDLS and do not have the L/R conversion option.

Please post your year, PDSL or + and if you have the function.

TIA.

Have PDSL+ in my 22 Macan.

The option to switch is there, but the car does it automatically when in Europe as it recognises that it's there - so I nearly accidentally changed it back to the UK setting.

I have a 2023 GT4 with the new LED PDLS (not +) and it has the option there.

This ^^

I have a 992 GTS with PDLS + and the car does it automatically for you based on it's GPS position. Talking from experience as I did a trip to Germany in mine.

So, to be more specific I'm referring to PDLS Bi-Xenon.

I’ve got PLDS (not +) on my 2020 GT4 and it doesn’t have the option where the owners manual says it should. When I looked into it before I read that it’s to do with it having a uniform beam which isn’t angled so it doesn’t need it. No idea if that’s true or not but the option definitely isn’t there.

I have a new Boxster T MY23 with the new version LED PDLS (not +), no adjustment and the manual says the same as you mentioned. No requirement to swap it.

My 2023 992 GTS has the standard PDLS + and has an option in the PCM to invert the light position, I assume, as mentioned by Schuey that they will also change automatically according to the GPS location but I haven’t had the time to confirm that yet!
