718 GTS 4.0 vs 718 GT4
Discussion
Looking at the used market currently. Will be a pcp deal.
Seems to be about £150 a month difference on the pcp’s
GTS 4.0 at £64k ish
GT4 at £83k ish
With apr high / the same on used and new and lack of availability. What are the views on residuals, presume GT4s likely to be stronger? Looks that way based on used prices.
So although more per month for GT4 will probably be in a better position 3/4 years?

I think you're looking at it wrongly. I'd buy the car that suits your use best rather than trying to second guess the financials. GT4s are compromised as an all rounder and GTSs not as well suited for heavy track use, for example.
This - just had the same internal debate. I have historically gone for the GT types with the aim of tracking but then been disappointed for the remaining 95% of time so this time I have just gone for the GTS. As suggested buy the car that suits you - the residuals will be what they will be - who knows!Neither will be a bad proposition given the supply issues and expected lack of allocations coming through for the remainder of the year. In reality you can't order a new one now.
They also have the same engine and performance is basically identical (the GT4 revs 200 rpm higher), so the only major difference is handling/ride which as others have said is probably a deciding factor when you consider what you'd use it for. I had a choice and chose the GTS 4.0 as i needed a 'daily' and had no intention of ever using it on track. When i drove them back to back I couldn't tell much difference save for the GT4 was firmer riding and slightly sharper, but it was marginal.
Both are cracking cars, I don't see much difference in total cost of ownership.

Agree with Twin. if your doing more road miles get a GTS it will be the better car for your use. Even if you want to do track work, a GTS was 2.7 seconds slower than a GT4 by SportAuto, and when you consider the GTS had P Zero and the GT4 Cup2 that's good going, so you can still track you GTS, cup2 and brake pad / fluid upgrade / geo and your sorted, best of both. They will both be good on residuals tbh.Deposit down for 70 Plate GTS 4.0 after brief test drive - has anyone financed through Magnitude? APR is 3% les than Porsche approx.

I've had my 70 plate 4.0 for 4 months - very similar spec, same build month in fact. Had 4.5k miles and was £67k but private buy. I think that's a great car and seems a good price. Main point - I LOVE the car.Car is a nice spec but has 20k miles on the clock at main Porsche dealer:

I would put the decals back on the doors, easily done - love that look. Send pics when you pick it up :-)
I had the same debate - GTS as a more usable daily or the GT4, the car I really wanted. I also considered the Spyder as a fun compromise. I already have a Macan S Diesel & BMW X1 between me and my other half. I went with my heart and bought the GT4. The joke is the X1 had a problem and went into the workshop for the week, and it snowed! Leaving me staying at home, working from home, with her out in the Macan. She had fun, apparently it’s much better than her RWD BMW in the snow… She’s not much of a car fan, but it’s funny when she falls a little in love with our mini fleet 🤣
We have done an about turn and going for a Taycan 4S in Ice Gray. We have a young family so felt like the right thing to do. 70 plate. Really nice spec and 11k mileage:
