Hi Guys,

I've used two car history checks company recently both priced in the mid range and both offered "specification" Check Neither have given the options list!

First was a Cayman i didn't end up buying so wasn't bothered, I've recently put a deposit on a Lovely 987 Gen II Boxster S and wanted to check the options list done another FULL apparent check with a different company still not factory options!

Does anyone know how/or what car history check company give the factory options list for a car?

When I used to live in Switzerland, there was an excellent service known as Eurotax that allowed any private individual to bring up all the options on any given used car and even see the historical MSRP for a few CHF.

Never found an equivalent tool available to the general public over here…

Eurotax appears to be part of Autovista / Glass’s and it does appear to be trade-focussed…

thanks mate, Checked them out but there doesn't seem a way to purchase anything online or any prices? which is a bit strange i presume its for people with a large trade account or something? I called and they just stated to fill the online form with what I want.Hm

Hi

Looking at either the sticker in the Service Book or under the bonnet, you can find the option codes as specified at the time of manufacture. You can then 'decode' them by trying the Philip Raby Option Decoder page here https://philipraby.co.uk/porsche-option-codes or this one, from Stuttcars
