I just wondered if anyone had remapped their 981 non S? There seem to be quite a few different options available ranging in price from £150-£500 mostly offering around a 20/30 bhp increase and a similar increase in torque.

Mines going in at 5pm today at Phantom in Bedfordshire to have a 981 2.7 remapped, will let you know how it goes…

Thanks that would be great - I’m pretty local to Bedford
Fingers crossed they look after you

Noir exactly relevant but I had my 2003 986s remapped by Mapro in Portsmouth. They recovered about 15 bhp lost over the years but the significant increase was in low down torque. It’s dramatically improved the drivability of the car as it peaks around 1000rpm earlier.

Great, so in terms of how the car drives now what’s your initial impression?

Sorry to appear sceptical but I struggle to believe those results.
Did they run on a dyno before and after?
I doubt it (at least not for £274).
Looks like they just filled in a certificate which is worthless.
I hope it drives better though - that’s all that really matters.

That’s an impressive improvement for a NA engine

Interesting, Phantom tuning in Bedford seem to be claiming +31hp for my 987.2 Boxster S which seems very ambitious for what appears to be a generic map. Anyone else have any experience of this company ?

It's a good idea to time some in-gear acceleration ... say 4th gear 20 mph increments on the flat, and compare before and after. Can estimate torque and power increase from this, and takes away any doubt of real-life gains.

It does 0-60 now in 3.5 seconds, nearly as fast as my 2017 GT3 RS
