Was in my OPC today looking at the current “shortages” list. Bloody hell you don’t want a GT4 allocation at the moment. As of now you cannot order a new GT4 with the following: PTS, PCCB, Buckets, PDLS+, or some of the interior options. So basically it’s a poverty spec, resale death car or nothing sir.
Fancy waiting a few years for an allocation and then being told that. redface
Will no doubt help to prop up resale on nearly new well specified cars.
Look on the bright side though Bose is back on laugh

Mines in build at the moment. Tracker is showing I have a VIN now. So fingers crossed all my options are on it. Only thing I had to give up was the PDLS+, but it was replaced with the new LED PDLS.

Only thing you’re losing is the dynamic dipping/auto full beam… because the camera is not longer fitted. not much loss as it’s far too slow reacting anyway, certainly for me on country roads at night. So much so… I’ve switched it off, and just do it manually… far more involving, lol

I’m really unsure of these fancy lights on anything other than motorways. They’re pretty useless on the dark b roads around me and reflective road signs set them off on unlit roads.

When did you car start production? Mine started production mid September and I’m still waiting frown

Lack of buckets is a big issue for a GT car, not good for Porsche!

I think any supply has been earmarked for GT4RSs, where they're not marked as restricted supply.

You would hope so they are standard fit AFAIK

My 4RS locked a couple of days ago so I'm pretty up to date on spec. PTS, PCCBs and LED+ are unavailable for the foreseeable future, non of them I'm really fussed about apart from PCCBs. The latter can be replaced by Surface Transforms which I fully intend doing so no real biggie.
BOSE would have caused 4-6 wk delay so left it off rather than tempt fate. LWBs are standard on the 4RS.
I would not order a new GT4 right now as you can buy a fully loaded one on the used OPC network for less than new price, which is what I did.

Indeed, as for GT3RS and the Dakar model from memory.

This.

I don’t think Porsche are that bothered either. Plenty on the used market and within the dealer network… so everyone that wants a car can get on at nearly new/lightly used.

I can’t seem to find a less than 5,000 mile upto 2 year old PDK car for less than less list yet?

Manual lights. Surely people will lay a premium for them in the future… lol.

In fairness never tried the Porsche matrix system, but our Defender system works pretty well on the lanes round us. But I’m definitely not bothered about it not being available on this car. At least it still has the cornering function, which does work well.

You get the same amount of OPC brownie points whether you buy an used Porsche or a new one. Don't quite get all this whinging on lomg lead times and spec shortages when you can buy pretty much exactly your perfect spec right now from an OPC.

Yep, the cornering function is fine… but the response of the auto full beam/dipping is borderline dangerous… or you have to slow down quite alot.

Some people like a shiny, new self-specced car when spending £90k+.

I know I do...

Everyone forgets… As the access to the top end products becomes ‘democratised’ … everyone feels entitled to a certain experience… When it wasn’t not always that way. It was a boom… but now we return to the historical norm…. For good or for bad.

Look around the world and all markets… you are seeing exactly this.

It will certainly support the price of the "right" spec used cars --- though according to those following the market there are few ...
