Does this look genuine? Odd GTS logo...
Discussion
I am currently looking for a 981 GTS and have come across this car. In many ways it is a good fit to what I am looking for but when I look at the pics it triggered my spidey sense. The GTS logos on the doors just look odd. I have shared a photo of the logo (black car), and a similar logo from the Porsche website so likely to be genuine (silver car).
Are there slightly different versions of the GTS logo on the 981?

Is the standard factory fit GTS door logo not always black, regardless of exterior colour? Even on black paint?
If you run a new 718 GTS through the configurator and choose a black paint option then you can't see the logo. Choose any reasonably pale or bright colour and it's easily visible. Our Gentian Blue GTS has black door logos and they are very hard to see.
I think a previous owner has had silver logos made up and applied.

Off to look for other 981 GTS in black. Good observation.
Most of the black 981s have no logo - doh - but I did find one and you are right - the logo is black. These are aftermarket logos.
Thank you!

Enjoy your car shopping!
Personal opinion; but really dislike any superfluous stickers on Porsches - bit tacky (pardon the pun) IMO.
Everyone knows it’s a Porsche, the owner knows what model it is, why the need to tell everyone else?
Bit like the people who buy designer clothes but have to make sure the label is prominent or oversized.
Surely, with Porsches, subtlety is classier ? De-badged and de-stickered.
Stickered up Porsches always reminds me of this

Could be just the angle of the photo that make sit look different.
OP, give us a link to the black car for sale. I put non-OEM GTS badges on my 981 GTS. Is it Jet Black metallic?
To my eye it looks wrong from all the angles in the photos, and seems to be the wrong colour.OP, give us a link to the black car for sale. I put non-OEM GTS badges on my 981 GTS. Is it Jet Black metallic?
