Did you get the 2.7 or 3.2?
The 3.2. I've not driven any others but every time I saw on boxa.net that someone was selling their 2.7, it was because they had found a 3.2 to replace it.I just figured that I'd always be wondering what I was missing out on if I got a 2.7. That said I don't think either would disappoint.
I've had a 2001 3.2S as my only car since the summer of 2019.
In that time, outside of routine engine servicing it's had ... new drop links all round ... a passenger door lock ... a CV boot ... that's it!
It does need some work in the drivers door - the window doesn't drop when the handle is pulled (you can hear the microswitch click, and there's a noise inside the door as it tries to do something - but it doesn't result in a window drop) ... likely to be a window regulator, but too cold to investigate until spring!
I'm handy enough with the spanners to do it all myself, so no big costs in there at all.
I don't know what your financial position is ... but if I could do it, I would do it.
I've also never driven a 2.5 or 2.7, so can't compare them for you. For me, there wasn't enough of a price discrepancy to make it worthwhile, and the worry of thinking "it's great but I wish it was just a little faster" after buying a smaller engined one.
