Afternoon all,

Does anyone know this car or have any comments to make? And views on current value.

Thanks

Comments are interesting. Obviously had to buy it to secure the RS allocation.
Make sure you are happy with the buckets they are not to everyone’s taste, not heated either which is a shame.
Apart from that it looks lovely and well specified.

Not sure he bought it to secure the RS as it sounds like it was bought from Romans. Plus ad states one owner but there’s obviously two. Looks nice though.

Or rather was ordered from OPC and then put it SOR at Romans..it didn’t move and decided to stick it on CC.

Sounds like the customer is a decent player at their OPC if they got a Cayenne Turbo GT allocation and now getting a 992 RS. They just took their Spyder order as they said they would and OPC probably didn’t want to restock it…

I think the vendor on CC bought it from Romans a few weeks ago and is now selling. Least that’s what the comments suggest.

That’s not what the owner implied in the comments but it wouldn’t be entirely inconsistent with the words. Doesn’t really matter.

I’ll watch with interest as I bought a highly specced gentian blue one this summer at top of the market. I don’t mind as I knew I was buying in summer with the market was only heading south. I’ve had some great top down drives in the meantime so I’m not complaining.

My bet would be 95k incl fees. I think that’s where retail might be and this car is pretty much at retail quality/warranty.

Sounds like the CC game to me!
Cars listed then disappear then reappear, rinse repeat!
What ever happened to the very nice red 991.2 GT3 listed recently?
Nice looking car though

£95K all in would suggest bidding ends at £90K if my maths are correct? So possibly a tad behind list for the seller.

IMO, a dull and uninspired spec. As the masters of selling 'safe' coloured cars', if Roman's were unable to shift it (on SOR) then it's going to be very hard sell.

Not even a FOC contrast stitch, just the upgrade leather with black stitch. A fun/toy car in a snoozefest of black black and black. frown

I have to agree regarding the spec - how dour.
One of the OPC’s had a pts British Racing Green Spyder a few weeks back and it sold straight away….nice to have something a bit different ain’t it- black just ain’t very inspiring.

I agree. Even a bit of yellow in stitch and belts to match the calipers would be better than what it is. Even the badges are black!

Reading the sellers comments on CC it does read as if he just bought it from Romans so is in fact the second owner

The owner hasn't driven it or registered it in his name, so it is still 1 owner!

AFAIK, that's not possible, not unless the current 'owner' is a trader...

I’ve seen that and it makes no sense at all. On reflection you’d have to be quite brave (or foolhardy?) to pay £90K plus to a guy who didn’t even have the car registered in his own name/address. Or is that just me?

It's not just you, this has got shenanigan/smokescreen written all over it. My guess is one of the following:

1. The car was sold by an OPC to the current 'owner', the current owner tried to sell the car on SOR via Romans but failed. The current owner is now trying to sell it on CC.
or
2. A trader bought it from Romans at cost and is now trying to realise the asset by selling on CC, but claiming to be a private seller.

AFAIK those are the only two ways that car can still be sold as a '1 owner' car. Either way, my take is it's a poorly chosen spec colour car which on reflection means the seller can't get for the desired wanted price.

Surely you’d be mad to buy a car like this from someone that doesn’t have the car registered in their name? Unless I suppose Romans are willing to vouch for him and he can prove he is who he says he is. If that can be done I would be a bit happier. If not who’s to say you’re not paying someone for a car that belongs to someone else?

Black leather and Race Tex? Looks like alcantara to me on a driver’s seat that looks like it’s done 19,000 miles and not 1,900.

Given the deletion of heated carbon folding buckets I thought Porsche had upped its game to at least offer the only available carbon seat as a heated option? It’s not difficult to do in these given the seat pads can be removed. A non heated seat in a convertible is a faux pas.

A quick HPI reveals it is indeed still on DVLA as 0 previous owners, also has a finance flag against it. Anyone know how that works if buying on CC?

Probably some type of stocking finance, might just take a while for hpi type systems to be updated.

Reading the comments on CC it appears the seller has added the finance to the car and also he has confirmed the V5 is in Someone else’s name. Under these circumstances you would have to be a real risk taker to bid, as if you won, you’d be paying the CC £6K odd fee before you knew whether the guy was actually clearing the finance. I’m out!
