OPC has 62 718 GT4s
Discussion
Looking at the official Porsche website I note there are currently 62 718 GT4 for sale at present, both manual and PDK.
I know a lot of cars get traded at this time of year, but I think the market is a lot tougher now especially with the cost of finance at 10%+, up from around 4% when I did my 981 GT4 in May!
I suspect it has a lot to do with mortgage hikes and availability, and the recession. Feels a lot like the early 90s at the moment.

That’s a lot
Yes, interest rates, tax rises, political uncertainty, social issues, oversupply, future environmental restrictions …..
Things will no doubt find a new level and hopefully settle, but surely the days of demand outstripping supply, price premiums and ‘flipping’, are over - across the board?

You cannot have 64 cars in the main dealer network alone and still claim they are rare, clearly few people are buying them at premium prices. Presumably these cars are being sold back by private buyers and they must now be taking a chunky loss as it seems unlikely any OPC will be rushing to get more stock. Hence I think we can assume that the glory days of flipping are drawing to a rapid close....
Some people still have their heads in the sand and tell you only 3 cars are the right spec and it’s still an overs car!
A few people on here have bought late low miles cars Pdk buckets under list!
Some OPC are still trying it on with cars over £100k but I expect they will fall to low 90s or even high 80s before the years out!
Oh it’s nothing to do with season either as good high demand cars sell anytime of year!
As long as you have bought to keep and enjoy then all the above is irrelevant just not good for flippers and the not so straight acting OPCs

Yeah people go on about spec, and it obviously is important, but regardless of spec, the OPC’s still want their 10k margin.
So if you sell back to them, depreciation is certainly a real thing, and here to stay I’d imagine.
Just normality returning really, coupled with more normal interest rates.

£80K is where they should be. Anymore than that is crazy for a Gt4. A few people on here have bought late low miles cars Pdk buckets under list!

Worst poverty spec GT4 I've ever seen advertised. With plenty other much better optioned GT4s for sale I'll be very surprised this car will sell at any price. Even the Guards Red and Aurum wheels clash horribly https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202211081...

Apologies for that! That would be very concerning if correct.
gosh - no apology needed, i was laughing at myself for being dumb and figured you folks would, too. …That it took me even a few seconds to decide it wasn’t possible says something about the sales success of the brand, right? Taffy66 said:

Early run car approaching 3 years old with comfort seats and not even got extended leather.
Very difficult sell.
But still around £5k premium over the £75k basic list price new.
