Cayman 981 Viper Green £36k
Discussion
No idea on whether good value but if you want a PTS 981 there isn't that much choice and looks amazing:

Out of interest how much was the PTS option for a cay/boxster in 2014/5 era?
I don't know. Mine was a press car so it was specced by Porsche GB themselves with some choice options including Sport Chrono, PSE, PASM and for me most important is PTV with LSD which transforms traction in tight bends and slippery conditions. As well as the paint scheme, it also has a pretty unusual interior with contrasting orange stitching. It's a marmite car for sure!Boxster5 said:
That is stunning Lunar - did you manage to get away this year then?
I did yes. Been meaning to do a bit of a video and write-up but work has been crazy and then my aunt passed away so I've been to the U.S. to the funeral which meant even more work. I'll get round to it soonish...croyde said:
I do love solid bright colours on Porsches.
Toy car colours I call them
I had a 2016 Mustang GT in orange.
I paid about £36k for a new 987 back in 2005. What would have been the cost of this Cayman new in 2015 out of interest?
Funny you should mention toy car colours. I have this orange 1973 Lamborghini which fell out of a box and I didn't know what to do with it, so it's been cluttering up my desk. Maybe that's why I bought an orange Porsche! I would ask if anyone knows whether it's worth anything, but the mods will delete it as "advertising".Toy car colours I call them

I don't know about the Cayman's new price, but I do know the price my Boxster went for new as being a press car it was stated in an article it was featured it - £62,634 See https://driversplanet.wordpress.com/2015/05/12/por... for the article. You might notice that since the car was featured, I've added the side decals in carbon grey to break up the solid colour a bit, and also had the wheels repainted in graphite grey and restored the silver accents you see on most painted techno sport wheels as I loathe solid black wheels on cars. They make the corners of cars look like black holes.

Looks great! What are those wheels? They look like the GT4 wheels, assume they are reps?LunarOne said:

Sorry about your aunt - funny how things come around in batches. My wife’s uncle & brother in law have both been diagnosed recently with cancer and both have spread to other organs - the signs of getting old when all you hear is bad news I suppose.
Here’s my PTS Olympic Blue 2014 2.7. Was a little more expensive than the Viper Green and I suspect it’s gone off a gentle cliff in 15 months price wise, but I had to have it. PTS is rare enough on a 2.7, but this is a mondo rare heritage colour that you usually only see on 914s. One for the longer term…
