Have the GT4 for a year now and scratching the itch for Turbo S. Dont take mine to the track. Anyone done it and will I regret it? It will be a more relaxing drive for sure.

turbo s unless you decide to take on track. I'm so pleased I never fell for the GT marketing. Fine until you start driving on road and the car starts jiggling you and your passenger around. They're too firm for UK roads. You need to be stig like for a GT car.

I had a 997 turbo and it was the shortest period time I bothered keeping a Porsche…..the steering was numb and it was generally a boring drive compared to a GT car

Out the box a 997 turbo quite dull. Porsche leaves so much off the table with the mezger 997. I expect the OP thinking 991/992 and they're a different ball game. Best 911 turbo s for me the last 2 versions smile

All depends on which generation of Turbo you choose. They’ve varied quite a lot over the years. A manual 997 is a world away from a PDK 991.

What do you want to gain from a Turbo over your GT4? We could help you determine if your assumptions are correct.

2 VERY different cars
turbo S is super fast, capable, can be used daily, scary, but you can understand why owners change them over after about a year, as previous post said
'its an itch'

GT4 is nimble, midengined, beautifully balanced, it enhances your driving abitities.....so much fun to drive on open country roads

Not sure about that. We've had a Porsche turbo of some sort in my family since 1986. Last 911 of ours we'd ever sell. GT or air cooled would be out the door before we ever sell our turbos. Will maybe upgrade to 992 turbo s cab when they offer the hybrid version. As dailies they can't be beaten although I know a few guys that use their GT4 all year round. Most of them packing GT cars away for winter when our turbos just start to have fun smile
