Boxster 987.2 timing chain stretch
Discussion
Do the Boxster/cayman 9A1 DFI engines suffer from timing chain stretch?
The Indy I use reckons they do but I can't see anything online about the specific issue, only a few DFI engines suffering from bore score, thought I would speak to Hartech and they have had a few DFI engines in with snapped timing chains but they said it wasn't enough to form a trend, like the M96/M97 engines, they think it could be just component failure which statically you get with any mechanical moving parts.
