Hi,

I have just acquired my first 1997 Porsche Boxster and am as happy as a pig in mud .

she came with these 18" alloys on and I am trying to identify them can anyone help?

I thought the correct wheels were 17 or 18 inch

Thanks in advance and I am looking forward learning a lot from the forums

Don’t recognise the wheels - might be genuine Porsche, but probably something else.

I thought only 16” or 17” were recommended for early Boxsters - with 18” being acceptable nearer 2000. 19” may not be ideal.

And, that tyre looks like it has hit a few kerbs. A set of 17” Porsche wheels with correct new tyres might be the best way to go to optimise your car, but others may know better.

19 inch wheels did not come as standard (or Porsche upgrade) for that model of boxster.

I don’t recognise that design of wheel.

They were 17" on the 1997 Boxster, I had one - the same colour as yours as well, but sadly it was written off when I sold it on, when some slates fell off a roof ...
