981 coffin arms
Discussion
How difficult is it to change the coffin arms on a 981? I know it's only two bolts and a ball joint, but is there anything particular to be aware of? I presume a balljoint splitter is needed?
Looking to buy OEM replacements, but I'd be interested to hear people's experiences with aftermarket alternatives.

Id look at Spyder Performance in the uK.
https://www.spyderperformance.co.uk/?make=5346&... . They have their own branded arms that are apparently made on the same production line. Buying theirs will not mean you find your pants around your ankles post purchase.
I have used them in the past and their service is excellent as are thier parts.

Thanks for the suggestion.
My car is under the extended warranty, so I need OEM parts to maintain it, but will they ever realise? At £270 (after discount) per side, it might be worth taking the risk.
Am I right in saying the control arm needs to be under load before tightening the bolts (i.e. jack it up into a similar position as if the car was on the ground with the wheel on).
