Wheel Spacers - OK or bad idea?
Discussion
Have a 987.1 Cayman with 18" Cayman S wheels.
Always thought the rears were a bit too sunk into the arches but the fronts were OK.
Seems the consensus of opinion across forums is to use 7mm front and 15mm rear spacers, however:
Reading a bit more from the likes of Suspension Secrets and others in the 'know', it seems spacers can have a negative effect on handling and wheel bearing wear due to the increased leverage by moving the weight of the wheel out.
Anybody on here using spacers and have any opinions on them? My current thinking is 10-15mm on the rear only and leave the fronts standard.
Cheers.

I believe Porsche used to offer certain models with spacers from the factory ?
I've read that 7mm was the norm but some widebody cars came with 17mm out back to give an effective track width with a higher offset wheel. .
I've personally used 10mm & 25mm wheel spacers and had 0 issues. Probably increases my scrub radius but can't say I have noticed any negative effects.
